Pixar Research Group
Direct-touch with one finger accounts for an average of 83% of the reduction in selection time.
The primary mission of the Pixar Research Group is to develop new technology for use in our films. We are also developing new methods for exporting our characters to other media, such as games and animatronic robots. More information can be found in our Online Library.
Photoshop3D.com - NOT!
This site has really nothing to do with 3D. If you want information on Photoshop Extended 3D features go to Adobe's pages or the Cafe, Russell Brown, and even Lynda.com.
Or you can ask questions here, I'll answer them to the best of my ability...

GroBoto - makes great Photshop Brushes!
GroBoto
GroBoto makes creating in three dimensions exciting and enjoyable - but wait there is more - It is great for making Photoshop Brushes! How you ask? * Requires Photoshop Extended
1. Create a Groboto object (you only need the mesh so don't bother with textures and render settings)
2. Export it as OBJ
3. Open OBJ Photoshop
4. Center your creation on the canvas and convert to 32 Bit.
5. Change Render Setting to Depth Map then Rasterize 3D Layer
6. You can adjust the grays Levels here to your tastes
7. Menu > Edit > Create Brush
I think that's it, may need to edit this when I wake tomorrow but play with this a bit and you will have fantastically detailed Brushes in no time!

Old Comic Book check List
Every so often someone asks what I worked on or published in the comic biz here is a general Check list of works. There might some I missed, but that should cover it for curious minds.
I am working on another book tentatively titled | Esoterica: A Journey into Randomness | but I will not make an effort to approach a publisher till it is complete from cover to cover. Should be well over a 100 pages if it keeps evolving they way it is.

Even MORE Collada support
Cinema 4D
Staying true to MAXON’s commitment to integration, Release 11 now supports Collada™, an open standard XML-based format that facilitates the transfer of 3D assets between applications. Exchanging scenes with other 3D applications is now easier than ever for diverse DCC production pipelines. CINEMA 4D‘s support of the Collada provides for comprehensive exchange of scenes including geometry, hierarchies, weighting, UVs, normals, and animation.

One of the many reasons I love 3D

A fantastic sculpture by Craig Dowsett using zBrush.
" Okay- getting a likeness isn't easy for me. I really need more then one set of eyes looking at this image. I'm still just working on the face, the hair is only blocked in and will give the hair more attention after I think the face is at a good point. I'm not mentioning who this is- if you can't tell, then I really haven't done my job or you didn't watch sci-fi movies during the 70's or 80's."
